Happy 1st Birthday!

It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year since our lives changed forever. Riley is our world and we couldn't imagine life without him. He brings us so much joy... and frustration at times :). He wants to feed himself, hates whole milk, won't eat any vegetables, loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, running through the house and shooting hoops with Daddy. He knows how to test our limits and is quickly becoming an independent little boy. Time is just flying by and we are enjoying every minute of it!

Riley had an exciting birthday week. He had two birthday parties to celebrate his big day. Our playgroup party was so much fun! All of his friends came over to play. Riley had his first cupcake and loved it!

We went to the park on his birthday. He loves playing outside. It was kind of cold, but he didn't care. He still ran and played.

Tom and I sang happy birthday to him on the night of his birthday. He had cake then too! Lucky boy!

The family birthday party was on Saturday, December 11th at our house. Riley woke up with a low-grade fever and wasn't feeling very well. Of course, the one day of the year to get sick! But by the end of the party, he was feeling a lot better. He got so many new toys - how are we ever gonna beat that at Christmas?! It turned out to be a wonderful day. Thanks to all the friends and family that helped us celebrate his big day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had our very first Thanksgiving as a family of three. It was a wonderful day. Riley loved turkey!

Happy Halloween!

Riley's first Halloween was a success. We went to the public library for a costume parade and also to our annual Mom's Club Fall Party. It was so much fun! Here are a couple of pictures of our ferocious lion.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

October has been so much fun! We visited our first pumpkin patch. Riley really enjoyed crawling through the rows and rows of pumpkins. I don't know who had more fun, him or me! He was so cute posing for me behind the wooden pumpkin stands. Here are some of the pictures.

Peek-A-Boo!

He is officially walking now, which is kinda scary because he will just stand up and go. He is still learning and falls a lot. I really wish I could make him wear a helmet and mouth guard, but Tom thinks that's mean. He loves to walk and steps on or kicks everything as he passes it, which leads to more falling and hitting his head or mouth. Needless to say, he's had several goose eggs and busted lips this month so far. It can only get better, right?! HA, wrong!! I am sure when he masters it fully, he'll be running through the house and then it will be TROUBLE!

We are looking forward to Halloween. Riley is going to be a lion....ROAR!

Here are some random pictures from playgroup and just playing around the house.

Welcome Fall!

We were very happy that cooler weather finally arrived in Tallahassee. This makes it so nice to play at the park and in the backyard. Riley loves being outside. We try to go out everyday for some much needed fresh air and playtime.

Cooler weather also means cold and flu season. Riley got his first flu shot at the beginning of the month and was a champ. He only cried for about a minute and then was over it! Unfortunately, he is a little under the weather right now with a cold and bad cough. It's his first time really being sick and it just breaks my heart that he doesn't feel well. Tylenol is a great thing though. It works wonders! Here are some pictures from this morning, after a dose of the good stuff!

Love his smile :)

Summertime!

The summer has flown by! We've been busy with music class, playgroups, swimming, and going to the beach. Riley sure keeps Tom and I on our toes with as much as he is on the go. Who knew a little one could get so many bruises and busted lips! He is so much fun and such a happy boy. His favorite toy is his blue ball. All he wants to do is walk around (with our help of course) and kick the ball. Pretty soon he won't need our help and we'll be wishing he did. Here are some of the pictures we have taken this summer. Please enjoy, and we promise to post more soon.

Such a happy and handsome boy!
