Pumpkin Patch 2010

October has been so much fun! We visited our first pumpkin patch. Riley really enjoyed crawling through the rows and rows of pumpkins. I don't know who had more fun, him or me! He was so cute posing for me behind the wooden pumpkin stands. Here are some of the pictures.

Peek-A-Boo!

He is officially walking now, which is kinda scary because he will just stand up and go. He is still learning and falls a lot. I really wish I could make him wear a helmet and mouth guard, but Tom thinks that's mean. He loves to walk and steps on or kicks everything as he passes it, which leads to more falling and hitting his head or mouth. Needless to say, he's had several goose eggs and busted lips this month so far. It can only get better, right?! HA, wrong!! I am sure when he masters it fully, he'll be running through the house and then it will be TROUBLE!

We are looking forward to Halloween. Riley is going to be a lion....ROAR!

Here are some random pictures from playgroup and just playing around the house.

Welcome Fall!

We were very happy that cooler weather finally arrived in Tallahassee. This makes it so nice to play at the park and in the backyard. Riley loves being outside. We try to go out everyday for some much needed fresh air and playtime.

Cooler weather also means cold and flu season. Riley got his first flu shot at the beginning of the month and was a champ. He only cried for about a minute and then was over it! Unfortunately, he is a little under the weather right now with a cold and bad cough. It's his first time really being sick and it just breaks my heart that he doesn't feel well. Tylenol is a great thing though. It works wonders! Here are some pictures from this morning, after a dose of the good stuff!

Summertime!

The summer has flown by! We've been busy with music class, playgroups, swimming, and going to the beach. Riley sure keeps Tom and I on our toes with as much as he is on the go. Who knew a little one could get so many bruises and busted lips! He is so much fun and such a happy boy. His favorite toy is his blue ball. All he wants to do is walk around (with our help of course) and kick the ball. Pretty soon he won't need our help and we'll be wishing he did. Here are some of the pictures we have taken this summer. Please enjoy, and we promise to post more soon.

Such a happy and handsome boy!

The Rite of Baptism

Riley was baptized on July 3rd at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. He was very well behaved and did not mind the water one bit. Thank you to all of our family and friends who were able to attend the beautiful service. For those of you that couldn't make it, we missed you. Here are some of the pictures that were taken.

Try It, You Might Like It

This is my first attempt at a blog. I was told to try it, cause I just might like it! So, here goes... The Life of Riley :)

I can't believe that Riley is 8 1/2 months old already. Time sure is flying by sooo fast. Someone just recently posted something so true... your pregnancy lasts what seems like an ETERNITY, yet the first year seems to go by in the blink of an eye!

I am so grateful to be able to stay home with him during his first year, (thanks Tom)! I love to watch him discover new things and test the limits of his little body. It amazes me how smart he is and how much he already understands. He started crawling at 7 months and hasn't stopped since. He seems to want to walk really bad - which I am truly in no hurry for! He got his first tooth this month and is working on his second. Let me just say one word...OUCH! He is such a happy baby and makes it so easy to be a Mom. He loves to dance and just started clapping at everything we do! Tom and I were just talking about how he has changed so much. We were trying to remember what our life was like before Riley. We both agreed that having him was the best thing we could of ever done. We are so very blessed.

Here are some pictures to enjoy.
